CONCEPT
The concept of this year´s festival is based on hosting outstanding art events in specific local environments. With the active participation of the locals of the four Istrian villages (Sokoliči, Hrvoji, Gračišče and Truške), the old town center of Koper and Kozarišče – village near Snežnik Castle, in six days will take place about 150 events. Mostly there will be concerts, as well as puppetry, dance, acrobatic and alternative theater performances. In six days events will be settled in the village yards, vineyards, bell towers, at terraces, cellars and barns, on the walls and squares. It will happen every day in other village.
NATURE AND ECOLOGY
Sustainable development and care for the environment are always important and emphasized for all festival activities. This is reflected through the recycling system, energy saving, the use of porcelain instead of plastic, and the concept of “land-art”, which uses primarily natural materials. After the festival, we want to leave the environment as it was before.
VOLUNTEERING
The added value of the festival are volunteers. Members of societies and individuals who devote many hours to volunteer and organize themselves to the festival, as they come at the site at their own expense and come out of their own motives: meeting with other artists and like-minded, staying and performing in a beautiful environment, and support for supportive and diverse community.
COMMUNITY BASED NANOTOURSIM
One of the main orientations of the festival is connecting people, their potentials and artistic expressions. The event promotes intergenerational cooperation and takes care of the future of young people and involvement of the elderly. The festival motivates local people to participate, and their engagements are a unique enrichment.
